Rabbi Jessica Spitalnic Brockman

Rabbi Jessica Spitalnic Brockman came to Temple Beth El of Boca Raton from another Temple Beth El - in Charlotte, North Carolina - where she served as Assistant Rabbi. A native New Yorker, Rabbi Spitalnic Brockman was ordained from the New York Campus of the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in 1999, and has her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

She has worked for a variety of Jewish communal organizations including the Jewish Federation, Hillel and NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth). She spent five summers as a tour educator for NFTY in Israel - guiding American Reform Jewish teenagers throughout the beautiful land of Israel. Before rabbinical school, Rabbi Spitalnic Brockman worked in the Jewish communities of London and Chicago.

In addition to her rabbinic life, Rabbi Spitalnic Brockman has been active in issues ranging from domestic violence to gun control to the separation of church and state, as well as organizing Charlotte's first female clergy group.
